Britain was the cradle of the Industrial Revolution – we innovated and developed products that changed the world. These days there is less innovation and some managers display an active fear of the power of new ideas and stifle them at birth. Some dogged people carry on fighting – many more give up. Yet it is innovation that carries us forward and the fear of it that holds us back
